Why we built Frihet

Most ERPs on the market were born for large enterprises. At some point, someone decided to trim features, simplify the interface, and sell them as solutions for small businesses. But the architecture is still the same: heavy, slow, designed for departments of thirty people with a dedicated systems administrator.

We started from the other side. We asked what a management system would look like if it were designed for someone working alone or with a small team: someone who needs to invoice on a Friday night, log an expense from a cab, and see clearly how the month is going.

What Frihet is, exactly

Frihet is a cloud ERP for freelancers and SMEs. Invoicing, expenses, clients, suppliers, products, financial dashboard, integrations, and an AI copilot. Everything in one platform, accessible from the browser, with nothing to install.

Frihet includes double-entry accounting, a chart of accounts, journal entries, and financial statements. It does not replace your tax advisor’s judgment: it keeps day-to-day operations and accounting data together so you can work from the same information.

What you can use today

Professional invoicing

To create an invoice, select the client, add line items, and review the result before publishing. Frihet supports configurable invoice series, tax withholdings, taxes, discounts, PDF download, and delivery by email from the platform.

This is not a nice-looking invoice on a blank page. It is a complete invoicing system with sequential numbering, duplicates, credit notes, and everything you need to sleep well when quarterly tax filing comes around.

OCR expenses: from photo to reviewed record

Take a photo of the receipt or upload the document. Frihet’s OCR proposes the supplier, amount, date, and VAT; you review the fields, correct anything necessary, and confirm the category before saving.

Extraction reduces manual transcription, but it does not replace review. Keeping each expense documented and categorized makes it easier to track and prepare data for your advisor.

Financial dashboard in real time

When you open Frihet, the first thing you see is how your business is doing. Revenue, expenses, profit, outstanding invoices, monthly trends. No reports to generate, no spreadsheets to cross-reference.

Frihet connects with Stripe for online payments and uses your email to send invoices and notifications.

It also lets you import bank statements and review reconciliation suggestions. The import brings financial records into the same workspace without establishing a direct connection to your bank.

The integrations are not there to fill out a features page. Each one exists because it eliminates a manual step you used to do yourself. Copying a payment from the gateway to a spreadsheet. Checking whether a transfer has arrived. Resending an invoice that the client says they never received.

AI copilot that understands your business
