The Open Banking integration will connect your bank accounts to Frihet for automatic transaction import and reconciliation. Using PSD2-compliant aggregators, Frihet will read your bank transactions and match them with existing invoices and expenses without manual intervention.
Bank reconciliation will become a one-click operation instead of manual CSV imports. Each incoming transaction will be automatically categorized and linked to the corresponding record in Frihet. For unmatched movements, Frihet's AI will suggest the most likely categorization based on your history.
The connection will be secure and read-only, complying with European PSD2 regulation. Frihet will never store your banking credentials or have the ability to perform operations on your account. Manual CSV import will remain available as a fallback at all times.

How to set it up

Select your bank
Go to Settings > Integrations > Open Banking and choose your bank from the list of supported European institutions.

Authenticate via your bank's secure portal
You will be redirected to your bank's secure portal to authorize read-only access. Frihet will never store your banking credentials.

Configure sync frequency
Choose how often Frihet imports your transactions: real-time, hourly, or once a day depending on your needs.

Review the initial import
Frihet will import your recent transaction history. Verify that automatic categorization is correct and adjust reconciliation rules as needed.
