Frihet People: Frictionless Legal People Management
People management is one of the areas with the most friction in any business. Software disconnected from the ERP, time tracking records on paper or spreadsheets, and compliance with the Workers’ Statute always falling on the responsible manager.
Frihet People solves it at the root.
Employee Directory
A centralized record with all relevant information for each person: personal and contact details, position, department, start date, attached documents, and active status. No duplicates across tools, no scattered information in emails or Drive folders.
The directory is the starting point. From there, each People module works with the same data.
Digital Time Tracking Compliant with Art. 35 ET
Royal Decree-Law 8/2019 mandates that any company with employees must record daily working hours. It’s not optional. There’s no minimum number of employees. And the Labor Inspectorate can request it at any time.
Frihet People records clock-ins, clock-outs and breaks, with real-time workspace sync and an audit trail. These controls support time-recordkeeping workflows; each employer remains responsible for checking the rules that apply to its workforce.
Legal Compliance Without Operational Burden
Employees use the People workspace to record time, while managers can review attendance and resolve incidents from the same module.
The overtime engine evaluates recorded hours against its configured daily, weekly and annual controls and surfaces exceptions for review.
Absence and Holiday Management
Holiday, leave, and permit request and approval workflows are integrated into the same system. No lost emails or shared spreadsheets with uncontrolled access.
The team calendar shows at a glance who is available each day. Managers approve or reject from the panel. Employees see the status of their request in real-time.
Overtime Control
The module records overtime by employee and applies the configured daily, weekly and annual controls. Exceptions remain visible so the responsible person can review them.
WhosIn: Real-time Presence
WhosIn is the team’s presence dashboard. A panel that shows, in real-time, who is in the office, who is working remotely, who is on holiday, and who hasn’t clocked in yet. No coordination meetings to check for quorum. No calls to confirm attendance.
For distributed or hybrid teams, this view gives managers a shared place to review the current attendance records.
HR Queries in the Copilot
The copilot can retrieve the team directory, summarize attendance records and show leave information from the People module. These are read-oriented views of workspace data, not autonomous HR decisions.
Complete Accounting Engine: From Data to General Ledger
Frihet was born with invoicing, expenses, and a financial dashboard. In March, we closed the loop: now the platform generates real accounting from the data you already have.
The release connected operational documents with a double-entry ledger and a dedicated reporting area.
General Ledger and Accounting Journals
Invoice creation, payments, credit notes and supported invoice lifecycle events generate the corresponding journal entries. The General Ledger shows transaction history by account.
Accounting journals record each movement with the account code, description, debit and credit. Invoices created in Frihet feed the accounting engine within the same platform, without periodically transferring them from separate invoicing software.
P&L Statement, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance
The accounting area includes the three core financial statements:
- Profit and Loss Statement (P&L): revenues, costs, and profit/loss for the fiscal year, broken down by account and period. Comparable across fiscal years with a click.
- Balance Sheet: assets, liabilities and equity for the selected period.
- Trial Balance: verification that debits and credits are balanced. Useful before closing the quarter or fiscal year.
The reports remain available alongside the ledger so balances can be reviewed from their underlying entries.
Configurable Chart of Accounts
The chart-of-accounts area lets an authorized user manage account codes, types and currencies for the workspace. This release note deliberately avoids a frozen catalogue total: the current configuration is visible in the product.
Year-end Closing
The year-end workflow generates closing entries and transfers the period result to retained earnings. The responsible accountant reviews the entries before completing the close.
Fixed Assets and Depreciation
The fixed-assets area tracks asset records and depreciation information inside Accounting Reports, keeping the asset detail available for review with the other accounting surfaces.
Bank Rule Engine
After you import an OFX, MT940, CAMT.053 or CSV statement, the rule engine helps reduce reconciliation work. It proposes which movement may correspond to an invoice or expense for you to review.
You can define custom rules based on amount, description or merchant. Rules propose a category or match, but reconciliation is not completed until a person confirms it. Movements without a match remain in the review queue.
AI-powered Cash Flow Forecast
The cash-flow forecast uses historical trends to present a forward-looking view. It is a planning aid rather than a guaranteed outcome, and imported banking data only affects the view after review and confirmation.
Comparative Reports
Comparative reports show P&L and Balance Sheet periods side by side, including prior-period and prior-year context.
The comparison does not require exporting data or building tables in Excel. It is integrated into the same panel where you view the reports.
