What this integration does

Frihet's Google Drive integration connects your cloud storage to your business document management. Attach contracts, delivery notes, expense receipts, and any document directly to invoices, expenses, and clients in Frihet without leaving the application.

Frihet automatically creates an organized folder structure in your Google Drive to store generated documents: PDF invoices, quotes, reports, and backups. Each document is saved in the folder corresponding to the client and fiscal period.

Integrated search lets you find any document from within Frihet. Type the client name or invoice number and Frihet locates the related files in your Drive instantly.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Connect your Google account

    Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Drive and authorize access. Frihet will request permissions to read and create files in your Drive.

    Configure the root folder

    Choose or create a folder in your Google Drive where Frihet will store generated documents. Subfolders are created automatically.

  3. 3

    Enable auto-save

    Configure which documents are saved automatically to Drive: finalized invoices, accepted quotes, monthly reports, or all.

  4. 4

    Test by attaching a file

    Open an invoice in Frihet and attach a file from Drive. Verify that the file appears linked and can be previewed.

Frihet requests access to create, read, and organize files within the folder you designate. It does not access files outside that folder.
No. Files in Google Drive remain intact even if you delete the associated record in Frihet. Only the link is removed.
Yes. It works with personal Google accounts and Google Workspace. Workspace admins can manage app permissions from the admin console.
