What this integration does

Frihet's Intercom integration connects your customer support platform to your accounting. When a customer opens a chat in Intercom, your support team can see their billing history, outstanding payments, and active plan directly in the conversation.

Customer data syncs automatically. New clients created in Frihet appear as contacts in Intercom with their financial attributes. If a customer updates their information via chat, the changes can be reflected in Frihet.

This visibility reduces resolution time for billing and payment queries. Your support team doesn't need to access Frihet to answer basic financial questions.

How to set it up

    Connect your Intercom workspace

    Go to Settings > Integrations and click Connect Intercom. Authorize Frihet to access your contacts and conversations.

    Configure data to sync

    Choose which Frihet attributes are sent to Intercom: plan, billed amount, payment status, last payment date.

    Activate the Frihet app in Intercom

    Install the Frihet app in your Intercom Inbox so agents can see financial data in the sidebar of each conversation.

    Test with a conversation

    Open a chat with an existing customer and verify their billing data appears correctly in the sidebar panel.

No. The integration is read-only for financial data. Intercom can display invoices and payments but cannot modify them. Changes are always made from Frihet.
The integration works with all Intercom plans that support third-party apps in the Inbox. This includes the Essential, Advanced, and Expert plans.
Yes. When an invoice status changes or a payment is recorded in Frihet, the data updates in Intercom within seconds via webhooks.
